David Jepsen's "Contested Boundaries"...
Description
David Jepsen's "Contested Boundaries" Lecture
The Polson Museum invites the public on Saturday, November 18 at 1 p.m. to hear David Jepsen, lead author of "Contested Boundaries: a New Pacific Northwest History", who will speak about his new book with an emphasis on our region’s labor history prior to 1919.Jepsen, and his coauthor David Norberg, argue that the history of the Pacific Northwest is a two-centuries-old conflict between people and governments struggling for control over the region’s land and resources. Jepsen promises compelling, dramatic and humorous stories about people of all colors and classes contesting the political, economic, and social barriers that blocked their path to equality and full participation in the region’s society.
This lecture is given free of charge and will be presented at the Polson Museum, 1611 Riverside Avenue, Hoquiam. For more information on this or any other Polson programs, please call 360-533-5862.
